My origin lies in Zeeland, a province located in the south-west of the Netherlands. My parents, grandparents and earlier generations before that find their roots here. Even though I wasn't born in Zeeland, I was brought up with 'Zeeuwse' values, culture and dialect.

With this collection I go back to my roots, focusing on the traditional costume, the silhouette and the details but also on the prints and accessories. I contacted older generations that still live on the islands to hear out their stories, experiences and culture, and went on a treasure hunt for fabrics of the traditional 'Zeeuwse klederdracht' to use in this collection.
